Review journal entries and transactions for accuracy, validity, and effect to both general ledger and budget. Prepare, Initiate and process daily as well as monthly standard general journal entries.Review, analyze and reconcile, accounts within the general ledger and report on balance sheet activity for all funds (E & G, foundation and other Restricted funds).This role will include assisting in the month-end closing process, banking, variance analyses, complex accounting and financial analyses, audit in accordance with Central State University's policies and procedures. The Senior Accountant, under the direction of the Assistant Controller, provides support to Education and General, Foundation, Land Grant and supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization while playing a key role in the maintenance and integrity of the general ledger.
